Por tercer día consecutivo, las manchas solares 1 261 ha desatado una significativa M llamarada solar de clase. La última explosión en 0357 UT del 4 de agosto registró M9.3 en la escala de Richter de bengalas, casi cruzando el umbral de la X-territorio (llamaradas de tipo X son del tipo más poderoso). Además, al menos dos eyecciones de masa coronal se encuentran en camino a la Tierra, y podría provocar leves a moderados tormentas geomagnéticas cuando llegan el 4 de agosto al 6. Altas latitudes-los observadores del cielo deberán estar atentos a las auroras.

SOLAR ACTIVITY: For the third day in a row, sunspot 1261 has unleashed a significant M-class solar flare. The latest blast at 0357 UT on August 4th registered M9.3 on the Richter Scale of Flares, almost crossing the threshold into X-territory (X-flares are the most powerful kind). Also, at least two coronal mass ejections are en route to Earth, and they could provoke mild to moderate geomagnetic storms when they arrive on August 4th through 6th.
